Most of my friends would probably agree with me when I say that I'm not the type to to type long mushy post about my feelings even for someone dear to me. In fact most would say that I'm not the type to post any posts at all. I guess most guys are like that (I'm talking about the mushy post thing). Ever so often however, there are times that a guy would like to do something special for his someone special. Even though it's not much anyway, i would still like to proclaim my love to the most important woman in my life *currently*....I am of course talking about my mother! (sry Rita but mother comes first..especially today). Happy Mother's Day!
Though here we live in a house,
There we had a home to call our own.
The responsibilities that I had (though rarely do),
The responsibilities that I had (though rarely do),
Now feels like chores to be done by the freeloader.
Rules of the house that once seemed acceptable,
Have know become heavily enforced laws.
What privacy I once had,
I wish I could enjoy as frequently here.
Over here I'm merely alive,
But over there I had a life.
Now this has less to do with living with strict grandparents,
But more to do with living without our loving parents.
So though we may be LIGHTYEARS from perfect,
Without a doubt we all know how lucky we are.
Though it may not be much,
I hope that via this “poem” of-sorts,
This truly thankful and definitely undeserving son of yours,
would like to express his heartfelt feelings to both his parents.
